How to get yourself motivated when all you really want to do is stay in bed. Read our Top Tips on how to get up, get out and face the world.
TIP 1. Gratitude is such a powerful emotion and a feeling that will bring so many benefits to your day ahead that this should be one of the first things you do on awakening. Find 3 things to be grateful for before you get out of bed. For example: 1. I am grateful I woke up - 2. I am grateful my bladder is working ( most people want to go the the loo when they wake up) 3. I am grateful I have had a bed to sleep in.
TIP 2. Exercise is a great way to get yourself motivated for the rest of the day and should be one of the first things you do. Even if you only do a couple of stretches when you get out of bed. Make this a habit that you do every single day. This will not only help to stimulate your energy centers but will already get your blood circulating which is a natural mood booster.
Tip 3. Drink a glass of water. This will help to re hydrate you. Drinking a glass of either warm water or adding some fresh lemon helps with building up your immunity.
By doing these 3 simple things every morning and making this your everyday habit as soon as you wake up will make such a difference to your mood and motivation throughout the day.
