Amethyst crystal can help heal emotions whilst also reaching deep into the body to help heal the source of anxiety. It can help clear distress from your physical body, soothe panic and aid a good night’s sleep. This is a simple, safe and effective technique even if you are a beginner in crystal healing. You can use it on yourself or others for as many times as needed.
• Prepare and clean your amethyst this can be done by simply running it under cold water
• Sit comfortably on the floor and cross your legs
• Place your hands on your lap, with the right hand resting on your left hand, pull you shoulders back gently
• Allow your eyes to close and begin deep breathing for around 5 minutes. Then slow your breathing down and turn your full attention to the movement of your breath, try not to control your breathing, simply be aware of your breath going in and out of your body
• With your right hand tap your heart chakra 3 times, the heart chakra is Located near the centre of the breastbone. Return your hand to your lap and become aware of your heart chakra, you may feel a slight tingling or throbbing as it begins to activate.
• Pick up the amethyst , holding it in your left hand with the termination point pointing up towards your head hold the crystal against your heart chakra and think about the situation you have chosen to release, you will be able to feel the emotions well up and the drain away quickly becoming calm and focused.
• Keep holding your crystal in the same place, often you will feel a surge of energy, don’t worry this is the amethyst just doing its job. Your body is absorbing the healing energies of the crystal. Each time you feel the surge be aware that your body is healing on a deeper level.
• When you’re ready open your eyes and give yourself plenty of time to return to everyday awareness and normal breathing
• Drink plenty of water
• Cleanse your crystal after use.
